Comprehensive Care

Age-Appropriate Rooms

We provide a safe, engaging environment for children from 0–5 years:

  • Baby Room (5–18 months): Gentle care, sensory play, and nurturing routines.

  • Pre-toddler Room (18 months - 2 years): Children are introduced to more structured play that supports their development and encourages them to explore new ways of playing.

  • Toddler Room (2–3 years): Exploration through creative play, basic social skills, and early learning.

  • Preschool Room (3–5 years): Pre-school readiness, early literacy and numeracy, teamwork, and confidence-building.

Each room is carefully designed to encourage curiosity, independence, and social development.

Flexible Sessions

We understand that every family’s schedule is different:

  • Full-day care: 08:00am – 18:00pm

  • Morning or Afternoon sessions (customised on request)

  • Early drop-off 07:30am / Late pick-up 18:30pm options for busy parents

Meals & Nutrition

At The Little Boat Nursery, we know that happy, healthy children start with delicious, nutritious food. Our meals are:

  • Home-cooked and authentic: Prepared on-site by our very own chef — a family member with experience as a Head Chef in restaurants.

  • Culturally diverse: From classic British favourites to North African and Mediterranean cuisine, children are introduced to tasty meals from around the world.

  • Balanced & wholesome: Each dish is designed to provide the energy children need for learning, playing, and growing.

  • Inclusive & flexible: Special dietary requirements are always accommodated, and children are encouraged to explore new flavours in a fun, positive way.

  • With our focus on quality ingredients and authentic flavours, mealtimes at Little Boat Nursery are more than just food — they’re a delightful part of the day where children can discover, enjoy, and develop healthy eating habits.

Enrichment Activities

At Little Boat Nursery, we go beyond standard childcare to give children a rich, engaging, and fun learning experience. Our activities include:

  • Creative Arts & Music: Painting, drawing, singing, and movement to encourage fine motor skills, imagination and self-expression.

  • French Lessons: Early exposure to a second language, helping children develop confidence, communication skills and enhancing their cognitive development

  • Phonics with a Teacher: Tailored sessions with a qualified teacher to build early literacy skills and prepare pre-schoolers for school.

  • Outdoor Play & Garden Exploration: Motor skills, fresh air, and nature awareness through safe, supervised activities.

  • Sensory Play: Hands-on activities to stimulate curiosity and support cognitive development.
