Exciting Extra-Curricular Activities

At Little Boat Nursery, we go beyond the standard curriculum to offer enriching extra-curricular activities that complement the EYFS 2025 framework, helping children develop creativity, communication, and early learning skills.

Music Class

Music

Our weekly music sessions encourage children to explore rhythm, sound, and movement, supporting personal, social, and emotional development as well as communication and language skills. Music stimulates creativity, confidence, and self-expression, all key areas highlighted in EYFS 2025.

Bonjour

French

Children who choose to participate in French sessions will be introduced to basic vocabulary, songs, and interactive activities. This develops communication and language skills, cultural awareness, and cognitive flexibility, aligning with EYFS goals of language development and understanding the wider world.

Preschool Science Class

Phonics & Early Maths

Led by a qualified teacher, our phonics and early maths sessions give children a fun, hands-on introduction to literacy and numeracy, building the foundations for reading, writing, and mathematical understanding in line with EYFS 2025. Activities are tailored to each child’s developmental stage, ensuring they are both challenged and supported.

Our Approach

By offering these optional activities alongside our core curriculum, we provide a unique, holistic approach that nurtures the whole child — academically, creatively, and socially. We aim to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning, giving children experiences they can’t get anywhere else.
